Description

NGC 6960 is nebula (also known as Caldwell 34 and Witch's Broom) located in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is a cloud made up of heated and ionized gas and dust from an exploded supernova. It is estimated to be about 1,470 light years from the earth.

It was discovered by William Herschel on September 5th, 1784.
